You may now apply for State-Aided Public Housing online! Please use the Common Housing Application for Massachusetts Public Housing (CHAMP) website: https://www.mass.gov/applyforpublichousing
If you prefer not to apply online, please complete the paper application and submit it by mail or in person to Leicester Housing Authority, 1075 Main Street, Leicester, MA 01524.
If applying to multiple housing authorities, please indicate your selections and the program type (Family, Elderly, or Handicapped) in the Housing Selection section.
The receiving housing authority will enter your information online and forward your application to the selected LHA locations.

Eligibility

Income Limits

To be eligible for public housing, your household income must be at or below 80% of the area median income. There are no asset limits for public housing. You will not be denied public housing because of the value or money or property that you own, such as cash, savings accounts, stocks or bonds, cash value of life insurance policies, or real estate equity. Any income that you get from your assists will be counted in your rent calculation.
